Post Fire Response, La Sierra and Triunfo Canyon Emergency Rail and Timber Structures
Aspen prepared emergency work permits for the project, which involved emergency repairs to four flood control structures in and adjacent to the Triunfo Canyon Open Space Area, near the city of Westlake California, northwest Los Angeles County.
Alondra Park Multi-benefit Stormwater Capture Project
Aspen is preparing an initial site-specific environmental analysis following the current State CEQA Guidelines Appendix G Checklist to determine if an Addendum to the 2015 Los Angeles County Flood Control District Enhanced Watershed Management Programs (EWMP) Final Environmental Impact Report (Program EIR) is the appropriate CEQA document for the Alondra Park Multi-benefit Stormwater Capture Project.
Ventura River Levee (VR-1) Improvement Project
The VCPWA-WP contracted Aspen to prepare the required CEQA/NEPA documents and permits for the Ventura River (VR-1) Levee Rehabilitation Project.
Gates Canyon Park Regional Stormwater Project
Aspen prepared an Addendum to the 2015 Los Angeles County Flood Control District Enhanced Watershed Management Programs Final Environmental Impact Report (Program EIR).
Stagecoach Solar Project
Aspen Environmental Group is assisting the California State Lands Commission on behalf of Aurora Solar, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Avangrid Renewables, with the environmental permitting and the CEQA documentation for a proposed 200 megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic facility with up to 200 MW of integrated energy storage on approximately 3,570 acres of land managed by the CSLC, in San Bernardino County, CA.
Santa Clara River Levee (SCR-1) Levee Improvement Project
The Ventura County Watershed Protection District (District) proposes to rehabilitate the Santa Clara River levee system upstream of Highway 101 (SCR-1) to meet the levee criteria of both the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and provide adequate protection from a one percent annual chance (formerly known as 100-year) flood event along the Santa Clara River for approximately 1,400 structures (residential, public, commercial, industrial, and agricultural) located in North Oxnard (El Rio area), Ventura County.
Peoples Moss Landing Water Desalination Project
Aspen prepared draft environmental studies for the Harbor District considering the proposed Peoples Moss Landing Water Desalination Project, which was canceled prior to completing environmental review.
CleanTech Environmental, Inc. Hazardous Waste Facility Permit
Aspen completed an Environmental Impact Report in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act to assist the California Environmental Protection Agency’s Department of Toxic Substances Control in the consideration of a Part B Permit Application for the operation of a hazardous waste storage and treatment facility owned and operated by CleanTech Environmental Inc. (CleanTech).
Santa Clara River Levee Improvements Downstream of Union Pacific Railroad (SCR-3) Project
The VCWPD contracted Aspen to prepare the required CEQA/NEPA documents and permits for the Santa Clara River Levee Improvements Downstream of Union Pacific Railroad (SCR-3) Project.
Rimforest Storm Drain Project
The Rimforest community is situated in the vicinity of the headwaters of Strawberry Creek. For at least the last thirty years, this community has been experiencing severe erosion and land sliding resulting in significant property loss.

The Santa Ana River Mainstem Project is a major flood control project spanning 75 miles along the Santa Ana River – from the upper canyon in the San Bernardino Mountains downstream to the Pacific Ocean at Newport Beach.
Muranaka Farm Permitting, Monitoring, and Revegetation
Heavy rains and high flows in the Arroyo Las Posas, near Moorpark, California, eroded away an approximately 500 foot section of the northern bank of the Arroyo in the winter of 2005.
