Wildfire Risk Reduction, Reliability, and Asset Protection Project (WRAP)
The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) and the Trinity Public Utilities District (TPUD) are initiating a right-of-way (ROW) expansion and vegetation management Project to reduce fire risk to the surrounding communities and public lands, as well as to increase electrical reliability to maintain critical services in local communities.
Powerhouse Vegetation and Sawmill-Liebre Reforestation Projects
Under contract to the National Forest Foundation, Aspen served as an extension to U.S. Forest Service staff to complete the associated field surveys, technical reports, and NEPA documentation for two proposed vegetation treatment projects in the Angeles National Forest.
Laguna Beach Fuel Modification
Aspen prepared an IS/MND and two Categorical Exemptions for three different projects on behalf of the City of Laguna Beach Fire Department.
Post Fire Response, La Sierra and Triunfo Canyon Emergency Rail and Timber Structures
Aspen prepared emergency work permits for the project, which involved emergency repairs to four flood control structures in and adjacent to the Triunfo Canyon Open Space Area, near the city of Westlake California, northwest Los Angeles County.
