Aspen Provides Wide Range Of Services Under LADWP On-Call Contract
Aspen has an array of multi-year on-call contracts with a variety of agencies. One of the most recent on-call contracts is for delivering environmental and air quality services to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). Under this contract, Aspen will assist LADWP in conducting specialized technical studies, support in the preparation of environmental clearance documents under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and conducting baseline and construction-related mitigation monitoring. Thus far, Aspen has provided support to the following LADWP projects:
Conducting biological resources pre-construction surveys for special status species such as Desert Tortoise and Mojave Ground Squirrel, and other sensitive wildlife
and inventory rare plant occurrences
Monitoring for nesting birds during construction activities
Providing biological monitoring during construction
Conducting air quality and noise baseline and construction monitoring for urban projects
Preparing biological resources technical studies
Preparing specialized noise studies and reports
Preparing traffic studies and traffic management plans
Preparing air quality studies in compliance with federal, State, and local mandates
Conducting cultural resources surveys, documenting archaeological findings, and preparing associated Cultural Resources Technical Studies
Conducting tree surveys, tree appraisal reports, and preparing the associated tree studies and reports
Preparing NEPA clearance documents for construction activities at LADWP facilities on National Forest System lands
Coordinating with federal land management, resources, and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with their requirements
Providing CEQA documentation support to LADWP staff
Support services in hazardous materials analysis, studies, and permitting
