Aspen’s Greg Salyer to Advise Westlands Water District on Energy and Power Strategy

Greg Salyer, Aspen’s Director of Power and Water, will be serving as Energy and Power Strategy advisor for Westlands Water District. Greg will provide strategic guidance and expert advice to Westlands’ General Manager and staff on a wide range of energy-related matters. His responsibilities will include review of long-term energy costs and evaluate alternatives to reduce energy costs. Additionally, Greg will advise and provide updates to the District’s Board on energy developments, ensuring leadership has the information needed to make informed decisions. His expertise will also extend to overseeing and advising on energy development projects, such as the construction and management of transmission lines and substations, essential to enhancing the District’s energy infrastructure.

A key area of focus for Greg will be supporting the District’s involvement in the Valley Clean Infrastructure Plan (VCIP), a collaborative effort to advance clean and sustainable energy solutions across the region. He will assist in the procurement of electric resources to support District operations and prepare comprehensive reports on energy-related initiatives and outcomes.
