Aspen prepared a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the replacement of the existing Sacramento Mountain tele­com­munications facility with a new enhanced radio communications system at Sawtooth Ridge located 12 miles south-southwest of Needles, California. The proposed site is an abandoned communications site that has line-of-site access to CHP’s Needles Area Office for microwave transmission. The proposed site provides appropriate cover­age of CHP commu­nications operations in eastern San Bernardino County.
