Aspen’s 2025 Summer Internship Program: Inspiring the Next Generation of Environmental Professionals
Aspen Environmental Group is proud to announce the success of our 2025 Summer Internship Program, led by our newly rebranded Student Outreach Committee. This year, our focus was clear: building meaningful connections with students and introducing them to the wide range of rewarding career paths in the environmental field. By offering hands-on experience, professional mentorship, and real-world project exposure, we’re showing students that they can turn their passions into fulfilling, successful careers.
This summer, we were fortunate to welcome four bright and motivated interns. Three joined us for a celebratory lunch at our Agoura Hills office. One of our interns, Jeanette Huang, shared her reflections on the program:
“It can be hard to connect how regulations like CEQA and NEPA affect the world without seeing a group like Aspen and hearing about the work we do to maintain compliance. But it also made me aware of different fields, skills, and topics and how interconnected all different types of work are.”
Another intern, Lauren Crone, reflected on the supportive and welcoming environment she experienced during her time at Aspen:
“From the Cultural Resources team to the administration staff, everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. I also appreciated the flexibility and understanding throughout the program. It’s rare to find a team so committed not only to your professional development but also to your personal well-being. The internship provided a supportive and enriching environment, filled with learning opportunities and people who care about your future. The exposure to real-world projects and the chance to work with professionals in different departments gave me a much better understanding of what cultural resource management looks like in practice.”
Through programs like this, Aspen continues to invest in the next generation of environmental leaders—providing not only professional development but also the encouragement and resources to follow their passions. We look forward to seeing the impact our interns will make in the years ahead.
