Aspen provided CEQA documentation and permitting support for a proposed short-term expansion of the Santa Clara Valley Water District's recycled water system. The proposed project would supplement the District's current supply of recycled water with potable water in brief periods of greatest demand. Project design is still underway, but the project will either be a one-mile water pipeline connecting with the District's State Water Project pipeline, or a new water well. Either option will provide water by pipeline to the District's recycled water distribution system in Gilroy (southern Santa Clara County). After completion of CEQA documentation and project approval, Aspen will also support the District by preparing required resource agency permits, including CDFG Streambed Alteration Permits and Corps Section 404 Permits, if required.
