Aspen prepared an assessment of regulatory compliance for the Division and prepared an Initial Study for its CEQA compliance program. As part of the regulatory compliance effort, Aspen surveyed industry groups, environmental organizations, and other interested parties regarding their concerns with well permitting issues and conducted five workshop-type meetings with interested parties to obtain input into the report and its conclusions. This is a highly controversial project with significant concern from interest groups and the oil and gas industry.
