Aspen is preparing an EIR for California's largest proposed wind energy project located in the Tehachapi Wind Resource Area, for Kern County. This is the first project of the Alta Wind Energy Center, designed to produce at least 1,500 MW of wind energy. The proposed project would produce up to 800 MW of wind energy using up to 350 wind turbines located on approximately 9,300 acres.
