California Energy Commission. Investigated all uses of the CEC Demand Forecast and found 14 different uses of the forecast including, but not limited to, long term planning, year ahead electricity peak loads, resource adequacy assessment, energy efficiency performance evaluation, GHG long term modeling exercises. Reviewed the methodology and data sources, evaluated the special and temporal characteristics of different modeling exercises, and evaluated the suitability of the model for the different purposes identified. Project is on-going.
