Aspen, as a subcontractor to PCR Services Corporation, collected and evaluated various baseline data to determine the restoration potential of a 4,000-foot long section of Laguna Canyon Creek. In addition to using the HGM Approach to assess the capacity of the stream to provide hydrologic, biogeochemical and habitat support functions, our assessment included an assessment of its capacity to support sensitive flora and fauna and to provide wildlife movement. The various baseline data, historic photographs, hydrologic analysis, soil and geologic maps, and citizen accounts were used to prepare an initial study and conceptual restoration plan.
