Rio Salado Reconnaissance Study, AZ. Reconnaissance study to investigate the feasibility of habitat restoration along 28 miles of the Salt River in Tempe and Phoenix, AZ. Alternatives investigated included an inflatable dam for water impoundment, mesquite forest and wetland enhancement, construction of a fisheries lake, habitat restoration and recreation enhancements, and use of treated wastewater for riparian enhancement. Costs/Benefits were estimated and presented in a comprehensive report.
