Developed flood control and erosion control strategies for the Gila River Indian Community near Blackwater, AZ. The study evaluated Gila River hydrology, hydraulics, floodplain limits and erosion potential. Flooding potential was evaluated using a two-dimensional flow model adapted to evaluating conditions for a range of discharges on the wide, braided floodplain.
