Mojave Siphon and Silverwood Lake Arroyo Toad Survey and Habitat Assessment

Aspen surveyed the arroyo toad at night along a four-mile segment of the Mojave Siphon at Horsethief Creek in the Mojave River Basin to determine the level of use of the easement by the arroyo southwestern toad prior to completing road repairs and maintenance. Habitat for the toad was also evaluated based on biological and physical characteristics along a two-mile reach of the West Fork of the Mojave River to support environmental permits for maintenance of two gauging stations.
