Under its Natural Resources environmental on-call contract with Region 5 of the U.S.D.A. Forest Services, Aspen is currently conducting comprehensive biological and cultural surveys, preparing Biological Evaluations/Biological Assessments on approximately 115 sites located throughout the Angeles National Forest. The sites support diverse vegetation communities, and range from 2,000 feet elevation to well over 8,000 feet elevation. As potential habitat for threatened, endangered, or proposed species is identified, Aspen will be conducting species-specific focused surveys.
