Risk Management Planning/Risk Analysis

Managed the preparation of a revised HRA for the San Joaquin Refinery in Bakersfield, California, using the ACE2588 and ISC2 models. Completed a review of the Toxic Emission Inventory Report (TEIR), hazard identification, source parameter identification, collection and compilation of meteorological data, site-specific exposure pathway analysis, and finally, risk modeling, characterization and documentation.

Completion of the public health section/air toxics risk analysis for the MID Woodland 2 Generating Station for the Energy Commission.

Completion of the federal Risk Management Plan submittal update for SSI Foods.

Aspen Personnel have also completed Risk Management Planning/Risk Analysis for the following other projects
  • Failure probability and consequence analysis of design-basis accidents at the proposed Hanford (Washington) Waste Vitrification Project. This assignment included the determination of the consequence of accidental fires, explosions, and releases of radionuclide particles and gases on operating personnel and the public.
  • The completion of federal Risk Management Plans (RMPs) for four J.R. Simplot food processing facilities in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington.
  • Project manager for Process Safety Management plan support for the J.R. Simplot Hermiston (Oregon) and Heyburn (Idaho) facilities.
  • Project management/technical lead to support the completion of the federal RMP for the SSI food processing facility in Wilder, Idaho, and the Atlantic Custom Processors food processing facility in Fort Fairfield, Maine.
  • Project management/technical lead to support the completion of the California RMP (Cal-ARP) for the Consolidated Reprographics facility located in Irvine, California.
Aspen personnel have also completed the following air toxics inventory/risk assessment analyses
  • The completion of air toxic emission inventory reports (under California's AB2588), prepared for U.S. Borax's boron mining and refining facility (Boron, California). This assignment included selecting and overseeing source testing subcontractors, collecting appropriate overburden and ore samples to determine TAC composition; and determining emissions from both stationary sources and mining fugitive dust emission sources.
  • The support of the completion of air toxic emission inventory reports (under California's AB2588), prepared for the Naval Aviation Depot (North Island Naval Base, San Diego, California).
  • The completion of the air toxic emission inventory plan (under California's AB2588), prepared for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (Pasadena, California).
  • The completion of air toxic emission inventory for the proposed Hanford Waste Vitrification Project (Hanford, Washington).
