Williams Communications Sentry Marysville Project

Under contract to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), Aspen monitored the construction of the Williams Communications Sentry Marysville Project. Construction activities consisted of: (1) the installation of approximately five miles of new underground conduit and fiber optic cable (including tie-ins and manhole installation); and (2) connecting Williams to existing Qwest and SBC networks within Yuba and Butte Counties. In implementing the Mitigation Monitoring Program for this project, Aspen reviewed pre-construction compliance materials, prepared a recommended Notice to Proceed with Construction for CPUC consideration, monitored construction and compliance activities, prepared and submitted Weekly Reports to CPUC, and reviewed and prepared recommended decisions on Variance Requests.
