Imperial County Renewable Energy and Transmission Element Update

The County of Imperial was the recipient of a California Energy Commission Grant on July 15, 2013, to update the existing “Geothermal/Alternative Energy & Transmission Element” of the General Plan.

Sunrise Powerlink Project

Aspen prepared an EIR/EIS for this highly controversial project crossing portions of San Diego and Imperial counties in California.

Devers-Palo Verde No. 2 Transmission Line Project

Aspen prepared a joint EIR/EIS for the Devers–Palo Verde No. 2 Transmission Line Project is a 230-mile, 500-kV electric transmission line routed between Devers Substation in California and Harquahala Generating Substation in Arizona.

Transpacific Fiber-Optic Cables Project

Aspen is preparing an environmental impact report (EIR) for a project consisting of the installation of four fiber-optic cable systems across the Pacific Ocean.

Assistance to Counties on the State Renewable Energy and Conservation Planning Grants (RECPG) Program

Aspen was awarded contracts to work on plans and associated environmental clearance for four of the six chosen counties to support renewable energy planning efforts in California.
