Client Satisfaction

Client satisfaction is one of Aspen’s core values. We seek to build lasting relationships with our clients through responsiveness, expert guidance, and environmental compliance approaches customized to each client’s needs. We do this by paying close attention to the technical, procedural, and legal requirements of our clients and their projects. Our goal is a positive outcome for our clients and the establishment of a mutually beneficial long-term relationship.

We consider praise from our clients to be a great motivator, as well as a valued compliment. To the right are some quotes from our clients about Aspen’s work.

In their own words...

“Based on the performance throughout the entire project, it was clear that [Aspen] emphasized customer service, partnering, quality, timeliness, and efficiency. They were exceptional at listening to our needs and developing complete, accurate, and cost-effective solutions.”

Frances C. Mizuno, PE

“As co-lead agencies, the Energy Commission and the BLM, supported by US Fish and Wildlife Service and California Department of Fish and Wildlife, are thankful to the Aspen Team… and appreciative of its high quality work, responsiveness to a number of important tasks and challenging schedules, and the rigor of its analysis. Only through the diligent efforts of the Aspen Team was this major undertaking able to move forward.”

Paul Richins, Jr.
California Energy Commission

“I would not hesitate to recommend Aspen to other agencies requiring a knowledgeable and responsible environmental consultant, especially for large complex projects that require a consultant with intelligent, responsive and hard-working staff members.”

John Boccio, Energy Division
California Public Utilities Commission

“The responsive Aspen management team and the commitment of corporate resources to adequately and expeditiously serve the varied Commission’s needs have been a highlight of their performance.”

Roger E. Johnson, Siting Office Manager
California Energy Commission

“During the past 5 years, I have managed Aspen’s work on two major transmission line projects at the CPUC: the Los Banos-Gates (“Path 15″) 500 kV project and the Jefferson-Martin 230 kV Transmission Project. Both EIRs were prepared under intense schedule pressure and a high level of public scrutiny and controversy. Despite the situation, Aspen’s work resulted in on-time completion of high-quality environmental documents…We greatly appreciate Aspen’s continued commitment to quality and its responsiveness to the CPUC’s needs during the work on these important CPUC projects.”

Billie C. Blanchard, AICP, Energy Division CEQ Unit
California Public Utilities Commission

“Words are not enough to thank the Aspen Environmental Group (AEG) team for their excellent service. With AEG’s help, the environmental permitting process went smoothly for so many difficult and challenging projects. We continue to be amazed at how quickly AEG responds. Additionally, the ease with which AEG staff interacts with the Department of Water Resources, Division of Engineering is commendable.”

Raphael Torres, Acting Deputy Director
California Department of Water Resources

“I thank you for the superb job you and the entire Aspen team did in developing the EIS/SEIR for the Pacific Pipeline Project. The dedication of the Aspen team to providing a thorough analysis on this highly visible and complex project was essential to a supportable decision by the Forest Supervisor… Your ability to seamlessly combine the skills of Aspen staff with those of selected subcontractors has consistently provided an on-time, high-quality professional work product.”

Richard Borden, EIS Project Manager
U.S. Forest Service, Angeles National Forest

“Based on your performance to date, it is clear that your firm emphasizes customer service, partnering, quality, timeliness, and efficiency. Your Project Management staff is exceptional at listening to our needs and developing complete, accurate, and cost-effective solutions. Most significant, however, is the contribution the Aspen Team has made to improve the customer service responsiveness, quality, deliverables, and standards of our environmental team. Our partnership with Aspen has enabled us to greatly enhance our service reliability and timeliness.”

Pam Shields, Regional Project Manager
Western Area Power Administration, Desert Southwest Region

“I (relied) on Aspen… to present and translate very technical and scientific information into language that could be understood by our elected officials, managers and community working group members, which was key to gaining their support for the watershed plan.  This complex project – which resulted in the first watershed management plan in San  Diego County to be adopted by the affected jurisdictional councils and boards, was completed on time and under budget – a project manager’s dream.”

Trish Boaz, Chief
County of San Diego, Department of Parks and Recreation

“APPA was (and is) extremely pleased with the results of the six-month effort by Aspen Environmental Group to prepare the major natural gas study we released to key federal policy makers in July 2010 (and that continues to be relevant today). Their work was professionally prepared, on time, and exactly at the agreed upon budget. I would not hesitate to use them again on a similar project.”

Theresa Pugh, Director of Environmental Services
American Public Power Association
