Aspen’s Lead Monitor Becomes Qualified SWPPP Developer

Jenny SlaughterAspen Environmental Group’s Lead Environmental Monitor, Jenny Slaughter, recently completed the certification process and has become a Qualified Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) Developer (QSD). In addition to her current certification as a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP), Jenny now has the necessary certification to not only conduct inspections, but also develop SWPPPs in California. The State Water Resources Control Board’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System General Permit for Storm Water Discharges Associated with Construction Land Disturbance (Construction General Permit) requires that a QSD possess underlying professional licenses or certifications and, effective September 2, 2011, have attended a State Water Board-sponsored or approved QSD training course.  Jenny has already completed two underlying certifications, Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) and the Certified Erosion, Sediment, and Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI).
